UCAN KIDS

"Ever since we started UCan, numerous parents have brought in their children to the centre seeking advice on how to increase their child’s confidence level. Within weeks, primarily through our personality development classes, we have witnessed remarkable changes within them – from being shy and quiet to being expressive and confident. Indeed, I believe self confidence is the most important of all life skills to inculcate in children.

It is with such positive feedback and responses from parents and children, that we have started a branch of UCan called UCan Kids, with a focus on confidence-building for pre-school children and early school-going children so that we can set this foundation early.
It has always been our endeavour to provide a happy and free environment, away from the rigid rules and strict discipline of formal institutions. Those of you who have visited our centre will have felt the positive vibe exuding from it. In such environments, where children feel loved, supported and secure, they will feel free to think openly and creatively. They will have the ability to believe in themselves and the world around them because it is a safe place to think, grow and explore.

With the help of my team and months of research and discussion with parents, we have devised a unique Confidence-Building syllabus which provides upliftment in personal and social competencies so as to build self-esteem and self-confidence, not only individually but also with others of their peer group. From topics such as individuality, stage fear, self expression, manners and etiquette to preparation for the all-important school entrance interview, we aim to nurture, polish and guide the UCan Kids to be confident and assertive individuals as they step out in the big wide world."

UCAN KIDS Mode of Delivery
We believe in providing a safe and emotionally secure environment so that children do not fear authority but rather feel that they will be appreciated, respected and their opinions will be heard. Children thrive on discipline so our daily classes have been designed along a set routine which the children will find familiar. Our methods are as they have always been: learning through fun, role-playing, story-telling, team games and activities and debating. Due to the nature of life-skills training, many of which overlap, it is not always practical to cover them separately so we will touch on them all on a regular basis through our interactions and activities. Our course is not academically centric so if your child is already attending a pre-school, they will still need to learn their A,B,C’s but our centre aims to uplift them in social skills, the timings of which will not interfere with your child’s school timings.
Classes will be held 3 times a week – on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturday mornings from 11am – 12.30pm for children aged 2 ½ - 4 years (Pre-school) and 4pm – 5.30pm for children aged from 4 – 6 (N, KG, 1). The course runs for 1 month (total of 12 classes).
